In 2019 we hosted the first dedicated tech-marketing event in the country and it was a roaring success. We are incredibly excited to announce the details of our second Tech Marketers Group Conference, Just One Conference, happening on Wednesday 30 June 2021 at Te Iringa (The Wave Room), AUT, Auckland.

Joining us live from the USA. Matt Snodgrass is the Director of Community at MarketingProfs. If you haven’t come across MarketingProfs before, its mission is to efficiently bring the most relevant, real-world marketing information to marketers globally. It offers its 600,000+ members content on a wide variety of marketing topics using a range of channels including the top B2B marketing event in the US (B2B Marketing Forum) and the weekly MarketingSmarts podcast which Matt co-hosts. Matt is also a fan of board games, gamification, and marketing research (holding an MBA in e-marketing) and will gladly talk with you about any of them. At length.
Lisa is a senior member of ITSMA’s North American Account Based Marketing (ABM) practice. ITSMA is recognised as having pioneered the concept of ABM in 2004 and has since trained thousands of B2B marketers in the practice. Lisa leads ITSMA’s ABM Certification Workshops in the US, including providing mentoring to participants . On top of that she has over thirty years experience as a global marketing and sales strategist. Lisa founded the consulting firm Knowledgence Associates in 1997 and has worked with a broad range of companies including Citrix, Dell, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Salesforce.com, Verizon and many others. We are incredibly lucky to have her join us live from Cambridge MA, USA.

Ben Reid is one of New Zealand’s leading experts in emerging technologies, working as a strategic advisor with organisations across the Australasian region to identify new opportunities and market disruption arising from rapidly advancing technology. Ben is the author of the popular weekly Memia newsletter, covering leading edge technology developments and global change with a particular focus on the impacts for Aotearoa.
Michael has over 20 years experience in technology and the same number in marketing, communications and sales. At MEGA Michael brings this altogether as well as lessons learned and passion to a dedicated team of technologists who have built something very cool. With over 210 million registered users around the globe, Michael is focused on building a saleable sales and marketing machine – think Smarketing but on steroids. He is also an elected board member for the NZ Marketing Association and an SME on B2B Marketing. When not delighting customers the world over, you will find him happily snapping away on his trusty Fujifilm mirrorless camera (Instagram @michaeljfphotography).
Dr Sommer Kapitan, senior lecturer at Auckland University of Technology, is a marketing academic who gets her daily dose of happy from teaching and a long day of stats and writing. She finished her PhD in 2014 at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has more than a dozen publications in sustainable consumption, influencer marketing, consumer psychology and social marketing. Her goal is to translate the science of consumer behaviour and work with industry to maximize their power to move people.
With a background in B2B sales for both Kiwi start-ups and US tech giants, Alex is passionate about building both global B2B selling confidence and revenue operations at scale. Through his advisory and training firm Sales Leaders he has supported over 80 Kiwi and Australian businesses and trained hundreds of founders and sales professionals, helping them to structure sales ops, build out and upskill teams, expand into new markets, develop proactive sales outreach strategies and generate tens of millions in new revenue.
Alex has also recently co-founded Apprento with Scott Freeman. Apprento is New Zealand’s first ‘Rec-Tred’ organisation focused on recruiting, training and educating the next generation of young sales talent for Kiwi Businesses. Apprento creates pathways for young people into rewarding careers, places them in awesome Kiwi companies and trains them whilst they are there to accelerate their results!
Caroline is a CX Strategy Lead at Atlassian and a certified CX Practitioner who works with teams to amplify their connection with their customers’ needs through data and insights so that they can deliver successful customer experiences.
She is also a Start-up mentor for the University of New South Wales where she helps young entrepreneurs to build robust CX foundations.
With over twenty years of experience across several continents and various industries such as Software, Video Games, Ecommerce, Healthcare or Education, Caroline mentors with passion, guiding teams through their CX transformation journey.
